MENTORING KIDS IS SARAH’S GIFT

REMEMBER the name because Sarah Bakker is a star. The Brisbaneborn triple threat – she sings, dances and acts – has performed across the globe in some of the biggest musicals. Mary Poppins on Broadway and An American in Paris in London are just some of her many credits. In a brilliant example of paying it forward she happily gave up her time to work as a mentor for the young performers in the Green Room Project Junior. “My primary advice, given to me by my father, was to have fun with it. Australia has talent the equal of anywhere in the world but we don’t have the population so we do need to go overseas.” And the future? “I’m starting rehearsals for Chess at the London Palladium which opens in three months.”
