Stars align to help give Britt a hand
HIGH-PROFILE Gold Coast sportswomen Melissa Cracroft-Wilson, Danielle McKenzie and Leah Kaslar are among a panel of athletes set to speak at a fundraiser for Summer Surf Girl entrant Britt Brymer at Currumbin.
The morning tea, hosted by Olympian Brooke Hanson, will raise funds for the Currumbin Surf Life Saving Club while hearing from the stars of surf and AFL in an event dubbed Women on the Sand.
Cracroft-Wilson is a 10time Australian beach flags champion, while McKenzie is an ironwoman champion who could pick the brain of AFLW star Kaslar.
While best known for her efforts in the surf, McKenzie took part in the Gold Coast Suns’ testing day in January and is set to make her debut in the sport this winter.
Brymer is taking part in the Summer Surf Girl program which seeks to engage female members and develop their skills while raising funds for clubs.
