AVENGER Charters take out fish of the week this week for this monster Spanish mackerel that was taken off Tweed Heads last week.

The photo has been going viral on social media as the monster Spaniard went over 35kg which is not far off the world record (42kg) set in South Africa a few years ago.

It has been a great week for catches of both Spanish and spotty mackerel with plenty being landed on reefs such as Mermaid, Palm Beach and the Gravel Patches.
