G.T.W. Agnew, What!!! God hates a hypocrite!!! Better go tell all those child raping priests then, hey? What rot you lot believe in.

I take it after reading the article on page 29 (GCB 10/2), that destruction of Black Swan Lake has commenced, that the ACCC investigation in2 GCCC Councillors involvement in Black Swan Lake & other Issues have been resolved? I haven't heard or read about it though. Old Crock

Thanks Young Jack, we do, in fact, pay this rent by auto payment every second Thursday. I have gone into my NAB EasyRent account and see that the rent arrives in that account each fortnight between 6:00am and 6:03am. However, the NAB don't make that money available to our agent until the following Wednesday, hence the multiple texts from Ray White, our rental agent saying our rent is overdue. Again, what is the NAB bank doing with this money for six days? Old Jack

Borobi. I am taking one to NZ next week. Please. How do I explain him? Nan

If the Gold Coast Show closes down after 112 years can we please have an administrator appointed.

I can't believe what is happening in Bundall. I'm embarrassed for the Gold Coast! Save Black Swan Lake! Gene, Labrador 4215

To misinformed, the chap that was in the emergency lane when he was hit had broken down. Where else was he supposed to stop?

Yes GT, I agree with you, it's hard to comprehend anything Peter Beattie says, a former Labor Premier who once said our curtains will. fade if we introduce daylight saving, now his latest hilarious statement about the M1 car park crises, "suck it up" RhondaW

I would prefer the Mayoress charity ball raise money for cancer guide dogs and animal welfare. A lot of homeless people are drug addicts through their own choices

Dear Alan the Dog hater - Dog is man’s best friend whatever did he do to you! People who walk their dogs between 5am-7am on the beach obviously DO have a respect for the law as there are no flags and very few people to annoyexcept for you of course! Dog and beach lover.

So the lake is going to be grassed over and used for 'overflow' parking for major events like the Gold Coast Show? There probably won't even be a 2018 Gold Coast

Show. Leave the Lake as is.

Chatroom is often full of whiners and complainers. I have just spent a week in Melbourne as I do regularly on business. You lot need to look at their lot and you would very soon realise we are living the dream in paradise. Mr MF Everyone is going on about older drivers I would like to see the stats on older drivers and younger drivers involved in serious car accidents from what I have seen young p plate drivers seem to be well up there. So before you point the finger maybe we should ALL renew our driver's license. KINGSTUMPY

If it's proposed that the Gold Coast liquor licensing laws are going to change to 24/7 service of alcohol during the commonwealth games, I can't help but think it is giving a false image of the GC while on the world stage and something North Korea would do, before quickly reverting back to Nazi germany tactics governing liquor licensing. The real Jim Brady.

I heard that Queensland Transport offices will be closed for the games. How are people supposed to pay their rego?

ABC chief michelle guthrie, at their recent, first, leftie stacked 'public meeting,' . said they are committed to democracy and always being 'relevant.' . ha ha ha ho ho ho. oops . I just fell off my chair from laughing too much!

Convince the people that a 12mil piece of prime real estate is a cesspit and you can give it away to your mates. Simples

Re: GC Oceanwalk path. (GCB 10/2). Yes, this fabled path, connecting the spit to Greenmoint, would be a world iconic tourist walk etc . for locals, tourists, wheelies and cyclists alike . if built. The problem is Tate . and south GC councillor, Gail O'Neill . don't want to connect the 'missing link' at Currumbin/Tugun, for fear of upsetting their millionaire, beachside, selfish mates. No Brainer.

Mum taught me to swim in the broadwater, with floaties and a keen eye. By age 3 you could throw me in a deep end and l'd resurface, laughing and splashing away. Never looked back. Aussie Crawl.
