McGillivray rides again
MAGIC Millions villain Matt McGillivray is set to make his return from a month-long suspension with a solid book of rides tomorrow.
McGillivray was sent out for his controversial ride on Ef Troop in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast on January 13. Stewards found McGillivray caused severe interference to several runners on the first turn.
At the time McGillivray was in career-best form having ridden 61½ winners, including 36 metropolitan victories for the season.
He has four rides at Ipswich tomorrow including promising first starter Boomsara for trainer Chris Munce.
Boomsara is yet another youngster by first season sire Spirit Of Boom and is raced by a Eureka Stud syndicate.
McGillivray will ride Never In Doubt and Ercolano for Ef Troop’s trainer Tony Gollan, and Peter and Will Hulbert’s promising Excelebrazoine.
