Apple’s bite out of Swiss

TECHNOLOGY giant Apple claims to have beaten Switzerland’s centuries-old watch industry at its own game.

The tech firm sold more of its Apple Watch during the final three months of last year than the entire Swiss industry, outpacing the European nation for the first time. It sold an estimated eight million watches during that period, compared with 6.8 million by Switzerland.
