Kylie’s break-up ‘breakdown’
KYLIE Minogue has revealed she suffered a “nervous breakdown’’ after the failure of her most recent relationship.
Minogue, 49, who split from Joshua Sasse last February, said the emotional and psychological toll of the bustup forced her to “get away’’ from the situation by travelling to Thailand where she spent six days with her girlfriends.
“I just wanted to stop,’’ Minogue said.“I knew I needed to heal. My physical system was compromised.
“I think it’s called a nervous breakdown.”
The singing star said she was heartbroken by the split but positive about the future.
“I went through all the motions of ‘This is what people do’,’’ she said.
“And it wasn’t the right union. I’ve never been that woman, that girl who dreams of walking down the aisle.
“You dust yourself off and you go through that period of ‘Never again’.’’
Earlier this month, it was reported that Sasse had been dumped by his latest girlfriend Harriet Colling just days before their secret wedding.
“They started dating shortly after his split with Kylie and, at first, they were smitten. But he changed over time and she felt he was isolating her from her family,’’ friends claimed.
