KFC all out of chicken

KFC was forced to close more than 600 outlets yesterday as a shortage of chicken crippled the fast-food giant’s UK operation and disappointed fans of the fast food.

By Monday night, two thirds of Kentucky Fried Chicken branches across the country had run out of stock as the delivery system collapsed.

The company has faced anger from customers and staff on short-term contracts who may lose pay.

The problems relate to the appointment of the Germanowned delivery company DHL to take over store deliveries from specialists Bidvest.
