Coast fans to get more for money

-

GOLD Coast NRL fans will get a chance to see the best of the rest in action with at least two Intrust Super Cup games to be played as Titans curtain-raisers this season.

Burleigh have confirmed they will take on Easts Tigers in a blockbuster at Cbus Super Stadium in the lead-up to the Titans hosting Newcastle on May 19.

Bears and Tigers players will be handed a brutal lunchtime slot, with the main game starting at 3pm.

The Bulletin understands Tweed Heads are also near certainties to score a Round 18 curtain-raiser on July 15.

The Seagulls will face Souths Logan before a 6.30pm NRL kick-off between Gold Coast and premiership favourites the Roosters.

The curtain-raiser spot has become available given the demise of the National Youth Competition – not that it is unfamiliar territory to Tweed, who played Central Queensland Capras at Cbus Super Stadium in Round 4 last year.
