HOUTZEN HAS HITOUT AHEAD OF TRIP TO SYDNEY

STAR Gold Coast filly Houtzen worked strongly between races at Aquis Park yesterday in preparation for a southern campaign.

Houtzen, who hasn’t raced since finishing ninth in the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on November 4, gave stablemate Mystic Moon several lengths from the 600m before picking her up in the straight.

Trainer Toby Edmonds (pictured) said Houtzen would resume in the Fireball Stakes (1100m) at Randwick on March 10. Her ultimate goal is the Group 1 Sangster Stakes (1200m) in Adelaide on May 5.
