Duo get Futures berths

GOLD Coast cricket prodigies Max Bryant and Xavier Bartlett will soon get the chance to line up alongside former Test batsman Joe Burns.

The trio have been named in Queensland’s second XI for their Futures League clash with ACT/NSW Country from Monday to Thursday next week in Canberra.

It’s another big opportunity to impress for Bryant and Bartlett, having been part of the Australia under-19 squad that made it to the World Cup final against India last month.

For Burns, the task is to prove his fitness ahead of the Bulls’ final regular season Sheffield Shield match against NSW, beginning March 14.
