Mobikes gain traction

A TRANSPORT company behind the city’s first bike share scheme has revealed all bikes are being used at least twice daily.

TAG Mobility general manager, Derek Mollison, said he was thrilled with how the program was tracking.

“After just three weeks, the demand for them is increasing daily with more than 1000 new users signing up to the scheme each week,” he said.

“People now have access to 350 Mobikes across the city and each active bike is being used at least twice daily.

“If the public has any concerns with bikes parked in undesirable locations, we encourage them to contact our dedicated street team through the Mobike website.”
