Why should Australia have to give tax breaks to filthy rich foreign movie production companies, we are sick of the way foreign countries take advantage of Australians generosity. RhondaW.

Our lovely new parkland foreshore is about to open here in Kingsliff. Council should ban skate boards and bikes in an effort to keep it people friendly. Plenty of pathways south through to Cabarita for bikes etc ... the local bloke.

I have NO sympathy for beach front homes, bring on the oceanway path. Those people knew when they bought that it is NOT their land. It belongs to all ratepayers on gold coast. Brett.

2 Hour parking Wardoo St. Great for people using tram to get to work. NOT. Do whoever set this time limit think about tourists not using the tram now - 2 hours not enough time. D.

Perhaps the guys from Lend Lease & any one involved with the games that is parking around the Currumbin beach should park & ride at least 10 k away & give the locals back the car parks. Sue, Currumbin

The “don’t bring bags or backpacks to the Games” has more to do with forcing people to buy food within the precincts & less to do with the Security goal of entry wait times of 15mins. Sceptical Moi!

Still waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, for the banners, flags anything!!! to gain a bit of excitement !!!!

Certainly an eye catcher ... the new sculpture in the T E Peters roundabout. One wonders about its representation and the cost to the rate payers. Surely money could be better used for other much needed infrastructure. Especially at this time when dollars are being used so freely on GC2018 preparation. AAB, Broadbeach Waters.

Thanks for the 3:30am wake up call of bins being collected. Next time can you only hit one car as too dark to see? Wog

Noisy garbage trucks in suburban streets at 230am & 4am two weeks now because of games. Fn ridiculous. Council is nuts. -Marco Polo

Ellen - your negativity is an insult to the many thousands of volunteers and workers who are excited about the games. You must be a really positive person to be around - not. PaulJ

Wow, it gets even worse! It’s now 3 million of "our money"

wasted on this illegible eyesore jokingly called ”art and gateway”. Time to get “real people” into government

Why did I go to tafe for 4 years to become a qualified bricklayer when I can stand on the side of the road with a stop & go sign & earn the same income? I done undersand. les

Just read today’s Article

& the “supposed words” of “our 3 million gateway sign”. It’s an abysmal joke & should never have gotten off the ground let alone put anywhere else because it will cost “us even more”. Straight to scrap metal please. Old Codja GC

Saw new signage on oceanway/boardwalk – great asset for the games. Visitors can walk entire length of coast plus Broadwater – what a shame Tugun, Northcliffe and Hedges Ave sections spoil it. Come on council, finish the oceanway walk. Would solve problem of runners and cyclists on Hedges Ave as well. Would BE one of the great attractions of the GC. All this talk about the Broncos signing Matt Lodge, I don’t remember hearing any uproar when Russel Packer got re signed & he did two years jail

Going off like a pork chop, doesn't get you anywhere. Next time, ask nicely, if there is a next time!

Every time I've driven past the Games Village on Smith Street, there's always a crowd of traffic control people holding stop signs just standing there doing nothing. Some are sitting on the plastic bollards. This is plain overkill and a waste of money, just like all the GETSETFORTHEGAMES signs that have gone up on roads around the city. Johnno

Suggest the M1 gateway sign should be changed to read “welcome to gridlock”

GOLDOC Clowns!!! Can’t wait to see Beattie, Kate and Anastasia’s entertainment for the crowds waiting, for a bus, train, tram, pink tricycle etc ...

How do these multi million projects get approved? The failed GC lights and silver fern, just 2 that wouldn’t get past blind Freddie of late!

Aussies should have first dibs on our jobs, before the migrant who ships our Aussie offshore, millions a week!

I could of saved the tax payer 1 million, Why when travelling north on M1 is the Gold coast lights back to front? You can only read it if travelling south, on the service road. And now Tate is thinking of moving it! Who is going to pay? Ah yes, the tax payer! Angry Bob
