Motorists seeing red over questionable traffic control

-

I HAVE watched with disdain as roundabouts have been removed and replaced with lights.

You do not have to stop at a roundabout but at a red light you do, sometimes for minutes. This slows the traffic down to no end.

However my greatest concern is with light rail Stage Two.

At the Parkwood precinct the station of Stage One is underground. Stage Two work was exiting the underground station but instead of tunnelling under the major intersection ahead, we now wait for minutes unless turning in one direction.

At the Napper Rd and Smith St merge I saw truckloads of fill dumped on the western side of Napper to bring ground level rail to road height.

Ever heard of trains operating in tunnels G:link? And not long tunnels as should have been constructed so as not to impede road traffic.

Robina Town Centre gets bigger and bigger but the road network has not been made bigger to handle increased traffic, and what’s with queuing through the roundabout at Robina?

Also, as I work as a courier how about all motorists focus on keeping to the posted speed limit, this will help keep the ever increasing Gold Coast traffic moving.

One more thing, the M1 should be four lanes until you enter NSW.

Also the electronic billboard that operates at Palm Beach overpass slows the southerly traffic as after this billboard the traffic speeds up to 100 again.
