Teen deep in the poo

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was miraculously rescued yesterday after spending more than 12 hours in the toxic and mazelike Los Angeles underground sewer system.

Jesse Hernandez had been playing with other children on wooden planks over an access portal to the sewer system when he fell 8m into the fastmoving sewage.

Rescuers used cameras propped on flotation devices and finally found Jesse after seeing images of handprints on a sewage pipe.

The boy was taken to a hospital for a full evaluation.
