WHO’S A GOOD SPORT

Rugby sevens player Charlotte Caslick kicks a goal with ‘Who wore it best?’ satirical social post

-

AUSSIE rugby sevens player Charlotte Caslick has executed possibly the best “Who wore it best” of all time with her playful take on Instagram model Tammy Hembrow’s fitness collection, Saski.

Caslick posted “When the Comm Games uniforms are actually in fashion ... who wore it better? #saskigirl #diadoradarl”, along with three spot-on re-enactments of Hembrow’s campaign pics from her latest photo shoot, with a little help from teammate Dominique Du Toit.

Hembrow’s athleisure line focuses on functional wear; athletic styles that are intended to be worn outside the gym as much as they are inside.

Admittedly, some of Hembrow’s cuts and styles are quite similar to the athletes’ Commonwealth Games apparel, so perhaps the post was even a nod of appreciation to the uniform’s designers.

All That Glitters reached out to Hembrow to see if she found the posts as hilarious as the 20,000 people who have liked Caslick’s post so far, and received confirmation that yes, she thinks it’s funny and lighthearted and loves a bit of tongue in cheek humour.

Caslick’s manager Josh White said the post was purely in jest, not intended to poke fun at Hembrow or her body of work at all.

“Charlotte was just killing time and having some fun with a teammate after training,” he said.

“She’s actually a fan of Tammy.” Caslick and the Australian Rugby Sevens team will have their first match of the Games on Friday against Wales. If successful they could meet top-ranked New Zealand in the semi-finals, so here’s to hoping their skills are as good as Caslick’s sense of humour.
