Jail time for golf stabbing
A VICTORIAN man has been jailed for drunkenly stabbing his mate during a game of golf.
Matthew McKay, 31, and two friends had been drinking before going to Broadford Golf Course in August 2017.
The trio played a few holes but a drunk McKay was damaging the greens and his friends Simon Mudd and Shaun Peterson chastised him.
McKay stormed off and returned with a knife, which he drove into Mr Mudd’s thigh.
McKay was sentenced to one year and eight months in jail. Mr Mudd has permanent nerve damage in his leg.
