FRESHWATER:

River fishing improving, offshore conditions remain average. Whiting, bass and flathead still common in the upper reaches of the rivers, particular­ly near Tweed, also as far north as Broadwater. Dew fish in the main rivers and near the mouth of the Seaway, with garfish and trevally around the Tweed and expected to increase over the next few months. Conditions will peak on Sunday.

OFFSHORE:

Swell dropping back down today but should pick up over the weekend. Mackerel and sharks spotted 24 fathoms out from the Seaway. Wahoo and snapper more common, with snapper expected to move in closer to the reefs during the season.
