Five facing QAFL ban

-

FIVE players have been charged by the QAFL match review panel in the wake of Saturday’s grand final rematch between premiers Palm Beach Currumbin and Labrador.

The Bulletin understands Labrador will accept a onegame suspension for Grogan Medallist Wayde Mills following his alleged headbutt on Jack Anthony and a two-game ban for Beau Azzolini who was reported for striking during a melee at Salk Oval.

Any suspension would rule Mills out of the running for this year’s Grogan Medal.

Palm Beach Currumbin’s Jed Harrison will receive a one-game suspension if he pleads guilty to unduly rough conduct while teammates Tyler Cornish and Thomas Thynne will avoid time on the sideline after being given reprimands for rough conduct.
