Police hunting for twin brothers after raid uncovers drugs labs
TWIN brothers are wanted by police after the discovery of two major clandestine labs in northern NSW, with officers investigating potential sightings on the Gold Coast.
Warrants have been issued for Liam and Rhys Hoynes, 24, (pictured) who vanished from the Inverell area after police raided properties and found large quantities of precursors for the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Police believe the twins were allegedly expanding their operations in an attempt to supply drugs on a major scale in and around northern NSW.
“The pair are well known in the Inverell area and we have received great support from the community,” Detective Inspector Ann Joy said.
“Our inquiries are being assisted by the Drug and Firearms Squad ... and we’ve engaged with Queensland Police Service in relation to potential sightings on the Gold Coast.”
