THE 17-year-old behind the wheel at the time of a fatal crash on Tamborine-Oxenford road remains in hospital.

Jordan Martin’s was last night in a stable condition, two days after he was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital. The teen was injured when his Mitsubishi Lancer collided with a ute carrying a mother and her two children.

A passenger in the Lancer, Pimpama State College student Jasey Gran, 15, (pictured) died at the scene. Two other passengers, aged 17 and eight, were also in the car.

Debris and evidence of the crash still remain on the roadside as police investigations continue. No charges have been laid.

Friends and family of Mr Martin have changed their Facebook profile pictures to images of the teen in happier times in a show of support during his recovery.

A mother whose children go to Pimpama College shared grief of the tragedy. Tracy Swain wrote: “Absolutely heartbreaking. I think this affected so many of us. I couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to your child before yourself.”
