Malone leads ‘Roos to title

ROSIE Malone has helped the Hockeyroos claim the Tri Nations title in New Zealand after scoring in yesterday’s 4-1 victory over the hosts in the final.

The Molendinar-based striker found the net in the 30th minute to take give Australia a 2-1 lead before the result was sealed with strikes from Emily Hurtz and Brooke Peris.

Malone, who scored her first international goal earlier in the series, and her teammates will now look ahead to July’s World Cup in London.
