WINNERS
Sequablur (Race 3)
A tough win for Sequablur gave trainer Chris Anderson a race-torace double. He took up the running and looked like a sitting duck when Lola’s Diamond cruised up to him and he was headed, but he showed plenty of tenacity to fight back.
Warface (Race 5)
This was an easy watch for punters who backed Warface. Ryan Plumb took him straight to the front in the early stages and was able to control the race. The Warhead gelding never looked like being beaten.
Tycoon Ace (Race 7)
Nozi Tomizawa timed his ride to perfection on Tycoon Ace and he kicked well clear of his rivals when he was asked for an extra effort. The Coast has proved to be a happy hunting ground and he has recorded four wins from as many starts here. LOSERS
Go Dixie (Race 1)
He was taken on early and did have some excuses but that wasn’t good enough for punters that piled into the odds-on favourite Go Dixie ($1.60) in the opener. He is still chasing a maiden race win after three second place finishes and has become an expensive horse for punters.
Ardoyne Road (Race 2)
The horror start to the day continued for punters as Ardoyne Road ($1.50) failed to beat a single horse home. Nozi Tomizawa gave her a lovely run in transit but she offered absolutely nothing when asked for an extra effort at the top of the straight.
NEXT TIME
Daring Deeds (Race 4) Daring Deeds was slow out of the gates and there is no doubt that cost him victory. Jockey Glen Colless was forced to settle him at the tail of the field and he found the line strongly in the concluding stages but just couldn’t run down a gallant Crab Boy.
Allena (Race 6)
This was an excellent battle between Foxy Housewife and Allena and both horses are capable of progressing through the grades. Foxy Housewife looked like she had the race shot to bits at the top of the straight when she cruised up to Allena but the Zizou mare kept finding and she was only denied in the shadows of the post.
