B Jenkinson - We don’t need you to play the same old song about tourism. Tourism has been done to death on the Gold Coast. It doesn’t matter how much money you throw into the tourism argument, the fact is it’s seasonal and does not provide full time employment. Cost of living is high on the Gold Coast and it’s not a cheap destination for tourists. Majority of tourists travel on a budget, and a cruise terminal is not going to bring in the money. As a local who pays rates, I find it unfair that locals cannot enjoy what we paid for, its always for tourism.
