Records to tumble

ORGANISERS of the sixth annual Premier Invitational are expecting record numbers to hit the Gold Coast from July 9-15.

About 100 teams took part in last year’s event, but that number will likely grow for the tournament at Magic United’s Carrara headquarters.

Launched in 2012, the Premier Invitational is one of Queensland’s fastest growing football tournaments and features male and female players aged eight to 15.

Organised by Magic United, the event gives travelling teams, who have previously come from across Australia and New Zealand, a minimum of nine games.
