I support the use of battery buggies for the disabled to use on paths and inside shopping centres. However, many on these need to be stopped and warned/fined for dangerous use. When inside they must only go at a walking pace and not be wearing headphones. I have come across too many who are angry with life and rush around because they can! People do get hurt from their stupidity and aggression.

Bullies are rife in all schools and then go on to bully in workplaces because they’re not stopped. Don’t blame teachers as parenting should be applauded as it shows they’re proactive and trying to do something about it and not accepting the appalling behaviour. The softly softly approach with bullies just isn’t working and behaviour is getting much worse in some schools and becoming unsafe places for students and staff.

The Spit is largely a scrubby, snake-infested area used by many for unpleasant purposes. About time it was transformed into a family-friendly spot with multipurpose recreation and activities. Only the selfish few don’t want it developed and cleaned up for good. on the Gold Coast for concerts and tell Stadiums Qld to go jump. The Gold Coast could put on great concerts by using our wonderful large open spaces i.e. the Spit, Broadwater Parklands even our Turf Club would be suitable. Our council would have control and I am sure it could be done safely without the turmoil surrounding Metricon. Jillian.
