No time for lockdown accused
THE woman accused of posting threatening messages that forced a Gold Coast high school to go into lockdown twice has had a reprieve from facing, in court, a person she threatened.
Stacey Jaundrell, who is alleged to have posted threatening messages on social media against Upper Coomera State High School, was to face a peace and good behaviour application from Jess Holland in Southport Magistrates Court yesterday.
The court heard Jaundrell is likely to plead guilty to using a carriage service to menace and harass. The matter is set down for sentence on August 12.
The court heard yesterday the peace and good behaiour application “arises out of the same facts” Jaundrell faces criminal charges for.
It is alleged Jaundrell threatened the school while impersonating a student on Facebook and Instagram.
Jaundrell had been scheduled to appear in the peace and good behaviour application yesterday via video link but the court was unable to schedule a suitable time. The application was adjourned until August 12.
