AFL eyes off changes

BRISBANE and Gold Coast would consider a full-length NEAFL starting point trial as the AFL yesterday charged ahead with its new rules.

AFL football operations boss Steve Hocking will next Wednesday present a set of recommendations to the league’s competition committee. The league is still working on how to penalise clubs which flout starting points.

Lions boss Greg Swann and Suns boss Mark Evans were open to trialling starting points in a NEAFL clash between the sides later in the season.
