Pangai rethinks Origin
BRONCOS weapon Tevita Pangai Jr is considering backflipping on his decision to abandon the NSW Blues after admitting he didn’t realise what he would be missing out on by committing solely to Tonga.
Sydney-born Pangai turned his back on Origin to commit to Tonga after last year’s incredible World Cup campaign.
His decision meant NSW coach Brad Fittler did not consider Pangai, 22, for selection in this year’s series, which the new-look Blues won.
“I made my decision coming off a high from the World Cup,” he said.
“If the opportunity comes and Freddie (Fittler) gives me a call, I will think about it again.”
