Warner’s rub of the green
DAVID Warner was back among the runs after a nightmare few months, finishing just short of a century in the NT Strike League yesterday.
The former Australian vice-captain, suspended from first-class cricket until the end of March over the ball-tampering scandal, hit 93 off 139 balls playing for the City Cyclones.
He was largely untroubled by the Desert Blaze bowlers and seemed set for a century until he was removed thanks to a catch from keeper Karl Mayn off the bowling of Dean Enniss.
