Travel firm nabs award

MAIN Beach Travel has achieved a first for the Queensland travel industry.

It won the Best Travel Agency Retail/Single Location award at the National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) in Sydney on Saturday night.

Principal Mike Dwyer, who runs the agency with wife Mandy Dwyer, said it is the first agency in Queensland to win the award.

“The Gold Coast Suns knocked off the Sydney Swans on Saturday as well so it was a great weekend in Sydney for us Gold Coasters,” he said.
