Woods’ hope for finals

PROP Aaron Woods’ 2018 rags-to-riches story continues as the mid-season recruit eyes an end to his NRL finals woes.

Woods has won all three of his matches with the Sharks since his high-profile switch from strugglers Canterbury due to salary cap issues.

Woods last played in a semi-final as a West Tigers youngster in 2011 and is excited at the prospect of finally breaking his seven-year finals drought.

The Sharks sit fifth before tonight’s clash with seventhplaced Brisbane.

Woods, 27, said a victory at Suncorp Stadum would go a long way to Cronulla cementing a finals spot.
