How many injured infants will it take to spark action

-

TOTALLY devastated to read “Bashed bub left with 10 fractures’’ (GCB 26/07) and the hideous perpetrator was only sentenced to two years’ prison and now released on parole thanks to Queensland’s lenient sentencing laws, introduced by this current totally weak Palaszczuk Labor Government.

This barbaric scum should have received at least five years’ prison, with no early release that Queensland’s criminals are privileged with.

I ask the question, how could any Court hand down a pathetic two-year sentence for anyone who repeatedly beat a threemonth-old infant, causing 10 agonising fractures?

And how can these non-performing judges and magistrates justify their role at the Bench and their massive salaries?

And how can they sleep at night?

How many more innocent infants will be physically abused by their parents, who in most cases are far too immature to be parents in the first place?

And how many more toddlers will die at the hands of these violent young parents before the criminal laws are upgraded to very lengthy prison sentences, which will only be introduced by a change of Government to an elected LNP, who will order the removal of children from the homes of violent parents?
