Wallabies wounded
MUDGEERABA were unable to capitalise on a surprise lead against NPL Women’s heavyweights Lions as they slumped to an 11th-consecutive loss at Richlands on Saturday.
Coming up against a Lions side that has tasted defeat just once en route to a share of the competition lead, the Wallabies led 1-0 after five minutes when Krystell Harrison bagged her first goal this year.
But it was all one-way traffic after that, with the Lions running out 6-1 winners.
Yesterday, Gold Coast United thrashed Western Pride 8-3 at Robina.
