Nude cleaning manager over limit

-

THE talent manager of a controversial Gold Coast nude cleaning service has pleaded guilty to driving with a disqualified licence and driving over the limit.

Sophie Leigh Mandeville, 24, faced the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday after recording a blood alcohol reading of 0.089 in May.

The court was told Mandeville was pulled over while driving a Ford Fiesta in Surfers Paradise just after midnight on May 9.

She told police she had a friend who wanted to go clubbing but she had no way of getting there and back.

Defence lawyer Cody Peck, of ABF Legal, told the court Mandeville had attended the QTOP traffic offenders program and tendered a letter from her employer, Brett Jones, of Bare All Cleaning.

Mr Peck said Mandeville was required to travel from as far as Byron Bay to Brisbane to ensure cleaning work was completed to an adequate standard.

In sentencing, Magistrate Gary Finger said “if you drink drive you pay the price”.

He fined Mandeville a total of $1050 and disqualified her licence for three months.
