Attractive $48m fund

TOURISM advertising agencies will be rubbing their hands together following the announcement of the State Government’s $48 million Attracting Tourism Fund.

The fund hopes to capitalise on the record number of visitors coming to Queensland, by helping the industry push into new markets.

The program is set to start in the first quarter of 2018-19, with discussions with industry in key destinations to get underway in August 2018.

Queensland Tourism Minister Kate Jones said the fund extends on the Attracting Aviation Investment Fund, which focused on creating further aviation links with the support of marketing.
