- WTF! When are these people

TEXT: 0416 905 148

Typical! Our unis take on unqualified cashed up foreigners over Aussie kids, what a farce! Like our nation now.

I notice Annastacia, doesn't make the Brizo CST developers wait 2yrs for wharf/terminal tender submissions, 1 year for an environmental-impact statement and 2 yrs for a mouth of the Brizo river environmental master plan. She and her Brizo vested tourism mates are spruiking a 2020 opening. Tate, GC Tourism bodies, ASF etc and Adani, must be livid!

I used to shop every couple of days at Coles, now it's a small shop about once a month if that … only because they stopped carrying brands I prefer … I don't like being forced to buy brands that Coles will only stock. Fan F

Am confused. Stored things in single-use plastic bags that stated their "environment friendly" status. Annoyingly, all bags disintegrated into 1,000s of pieces after a couple of months. Grey bags have done same. Am left wondering, who's behind this push? Reusable plastic bags handles will break - what then? How long does THAT plastic take to break down?

Anyone who has ever owned a restaurant or retail business in a tourist zone like Coolangatta will tell you what a difference it is, in the day’s or night’s takings, when a plane or bus load of tourists turn up at your door. Why more GC businesses and politicians are not being more aggressively animated, about losing our CST to Brisbane amazes me!

Next thing the PC mob will want to change the name of Queensland. Barney

I don't know where Alan Midwood gets his info from about correct immigration figures, sounds like from the inside of a cornflakes box. I checked the ABS data for 2016-2017 and Ken Wade was spot on. Brian Walters.

Get off the bus Gus - make a new plan Peter - and set the footy free.

Hope Gus Gould’s foot heals up ok. The one he shot himself in. MW

Get off the bus Gus - make a new plan Sam - don't try to be coy Roy.

The simple reason GC will never have a cruise ship terminal is - you need a channel for large shipping vessels to enter, not a beach, it’s that simple. The artist impression shows a container ship backed into port? No impression showing the heavy

equipment infrastructure (cranes, tracks, storage facilities etc) required for unloading container ships. Makes common sense for ones with no idea. Never happen on a beach strip. In The Kno

Hands off our daylight. If you don't like it go live somewhere else. Doug

Here we go again with daylight savings. When is everyone going to get over it in Qld? Just because Gold Coast wants it doesn’t mean the whole state wants it and you can’t move the boundaries. It's the whole state or nothing. There are already time zones in place and everyone makes allowances. Gz

Malcolm has told his party room that he will support future baseload electricity generation, be it coal or gas. Unfortunately what Malcolm says and what he ends up doing are two different things. Unless he puts new generation into legislation, I just don't believe a word he says. GT going to stop trying to RAPE & PILLAGE our Gold Coast beaches. The Gold Coast was built on a beach culture, this cancerous growth of a Cruise Ship Terminal at Bilinga isn’t Beach Culture. Burn it off before it spreads. Lookout.

Tugun terminal terror: now their lovely and lively community is threatened, south coasters will understand what we in Southport have been protesting for years - Curly Bells

Not fair to call butchers. bakers and the rest a bunch of gougers because of the drought. Blame it on the wholesalers who jack up the prices. Kp

I haven't noticed any road trains delivering loads of hay to Qld drought farmers like the NSW Premier is doing for their farmers. Typical of Qld Labor, in bed with the greenies and the unions. Congrats to NSW. Brad, Tweed Heads.

Re: Proposed CST at Nth Kirra. So if you’re putting a dock for cargo ships does that mean you’re putting refuelling services in as well as sewage and waste facilities? Why on earth would there be a need for cargo ships? Again nothing to do with a CST folks it’s all to do with that almighty 2nd Casino that we also don’t want or need. Does anyone bother to ask the locals? Clearly not! Radish

Tony Cochrane, the GC is in serious need of some two wheeled dirt action namely Supercross, Motorcross and Enduro racing. The GC has become so boring with polo, horse racing and Stupid MTB racing.
