SOUTHPORT – CAR THEFT

A CAR was allegedly stolen from the car park of a hardware store in Olsen Ave, Southport.

On July 20, about 4pm, a white 1984 Toyota Corona with Queensland plates 308 OYD was taken unlawfully.

About 12.20am on July 21, a woman went to a fast-food restaurant in Bermuda St at Mermaid Waters in the stolen car.

The car was found at midday in Beckington Tce, Mudgeeraba.

SOUTHPORT – THEFT

SOMEONE has been stealing breast pumps and blood-pressure monitors across the Gold Coast and police want to speak to these two men about one theft in particular, at a Southport store in June.

About 6.15pm on June 15, two men entered the pharmacy in a shopping complex in Ferry Road.

In the baby section, they allegedly selected multiple breast pumps and blood-pressure monitors and hid them in a bag, before leaving the store without attempting to pay.

The men returned the next day and allegedly repeated the offence, totalling $2475 of goods.

Police believe the men may be linked to a series of similar offences across the Gold Coast district lately.

BIGGERA WATERS AND RUNAWAY BAY – STEALING

POLICE want to speak to a person about three separate stealing offences in Biggera Waters and Runaway Bay.

Police allege a man entered a liquor store in Lae Dve, Runaway Bay, on July 6 about 6.45pm and hid four bottles of spirits worth $200 under his jacket. He allegedly left the store without trying to pay.

Two similar offences occurred on August 5 and 6. In the first a man entered a liquor store in Oxley Dve, Biggera Waters, about 4.45pm when a $93 bottle of whiskey was allegedly taken. The following day about 12.40pm the man returned to the store and allegedly took a 700ml bottle of vodka worth $26.
