Boy shot on hunting trip
A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been accidentally shot in the back while hunting on a property outside Bathurst.
The boy was with three other people on a property just before 9am when a 12-gauge shotgun fired while it was lying in the back of a ute.
It’s understood the ute rolled back and hit something which made the gun fire.
The boy was taken by ambulance to Bathurst Airport where he was given a blood transfusion and put in an induced coma before he was flown to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney.
