Campaign to improve visibility of pushbikes

SCHOOL students have ‘pimped’ out their bikes in a competition hosted by police in an effort to promote a road safety message of ‘Be Seen to be Safe.’

Bikes were colourfully decorated and a number of winners selected by Division 12 Cr Pauline Young and Miami State School principal Andrew Schumacher.

Students were also able to view the police car, motorbikes and all-terrain vehicle.

They were also reminded to wear their helmets, make good choices around roads and remain aware of their surroundings.

As part of Road Safety Week, police are encouraging all road users to brush up on the road rules.
