So how did the magical event take place? “We were packing for a trip to Noosa and I sort of half expected Jake to ask me while we were up there,” explained Carla. “I had taken some things out to the car and when I came back into the house he was on one knee in the kitchen with the ring in his hand. We’ve been together for four years, have just bought a house so I knew it would happen one day. Jake said he wanted to make it a surprise and picked a time and a place when I wasn’t ready so the kitchen was perfect,” she laughed.
