Boost for commuters

A LITTLE relief is in store for commuters on the Gold Coast as work to add more car parks at Ormeau train station begins.

The works will deliver 70 additional car parks to the existing 270 spaces, providing commuters with easier access to train services.

Detailed design works should be completed in the coming months, with construction set to start early next year.

“Park ‘n’ rides are an important element of the transport network,” Minister for Transport Mark Bailey said.
