- KATHLEEN SKENE

NEWLY-LISTED Gold Coast dental company Totally Smiles has appointed a New Yorkbased digital guru to its board.

Smiles Inclusive Limited yesterday announced Joshua Lowcock would commence as its new independent nonexecutive director on Monday next week.

Mr Lowcock is chief digital officer and global brand safety officer of media and advertising agency Universal McCann.

SIL chairman David Herlihy said Mr Lowcock had a strong background in the digital space, as well as marketing, technology, business transformation and innovation.

“Joshua is an important addition to Smiles Inclusive’s board as we continue to expand our network of dental practices across Australia, with both marketing of our services and protection of our patient data high priorities,” he said.

“He has a strong skill set that will assist us and the dental practices in their transformation and innovation, while overseeing the important areas of marketing and data security in the group.

“Joshua has a wealth of global experience and knowledge, including Australia, China and the US, that will bring added energy to our group as we grow from our current 52 dental practices with 107 dentists.”

Mr Lowcock said he would focus on marketing and providing online services for the group and patients in a safe and secure way.

Smiles Inclusive listed its shares on the ASX in April.
