BELL PLANS FUTURE IN PROPERTY ON COAST

- JONATHON MORAN

WITH a new career and a new love, ’90s TV star Melissa Bell is looking to the future after the devastating death of her husband.

The former Neighbours and

E Street actor recently acquired her real estate licence and has set up an office for Absolute Residential on the Gold Coast.

“I didn’t have any other formal qualifications so this is a big thing for me to achieve this,” she said.

The 45-year-old mother of four became a solo parent when her late husband, Gary Dickinson, died of a heart attack in February 2016. The couple had three children together – Jonathan, 17, Isabella, 14 and William, 10 – and Bell has a 22-year-old son, Dylan, from a previous relationship.

It is understood she is now dating financial strategist Grant Thompson, although she wouldn’t confirm that.

“I’d prefer to keep that private,” said Bell, who most recently appeared in local film,

Occupation.

Real estate, and acting, are her passions and what she wants to focus on.

“I’ve always loved buying properties and renovating them,” she explained from one of her clients, The Star Residences. “I did a lot of that with my late husband, we were passionate about real estate.”

Coincidentally, another former E Street cast member, Bruce Samazan, went into real estate and Bell reached out to him for advice when she decided to get her licence.
