TODAY:

E swell fades with minimal S sets. Residual 1 to 3ft sets exposed beaches, grading smaller along the points and inside the bays. WIND: Early S to 10 knots tending ESE 10 to 15 knots in afternoon.

TOMORROW:

Smaller E swell, easing to around 1 to 2ft, mixing with possible SE swell at 2 to 3ft across top south open beaches, grading smaller in points and bays. WIND: Early light N tending NE to 10 knots later.

WEDNESDAY:

Swell small early rising up alongshore N windchop later. Slow sets of 1 to 2ft early crossing up N windwaves through the afternoon. SSE swell possible to wrap into north NSW breaks at 2ft range. WIND: Early NNW 10 to 20 knots, freshening NNE 20 to 25 knots later.

THURSDAY:

Mix of short-lived N windswell early overrun with new rising SSE swell later. Morning N waves 1ft range early and settling small, prior to rising increase of SSE swell in arvo. Speculativ­e increase of 3 to 4ft and larger sets on south facing beaches of northern NSW, tending smaller 2 to 3ft in Qld beaches.
