Warning signs are there of a cataclysmic global shift

A LETTER by Col Francis (GCB, July 9), especially the last paragraph, should send a warning to western nations and to the world.

He states “sadly I believe the tipping point has been reached and our Judeo/Christian culture is being overturned in favour of left wing socialism”.

The leaders of the Extinction Rebellion movement state civil disobedience is the most powerful method of shaping politics and that if 3.5 per cent of a given population actively participate in a movement it will produce social change.

It’s happening before our very eyes. The BLM movement has spread around the world and has morphed into a political movement demanding social change. Some months ago in an interview with President Putin he put forward the view that western liberal governments are heading for failure – they have become too liberal allowing minority groups to influence society at large.

Just open your eyes, BLM,

LGBTI, climate change, the greens, the unions and now the COVID-19 outbreak is affecting the entire world as we know it.

Millions of people throughout the world have become dependant on social security.

A welfare society is the main principle of left-wing socialism throughout the ages, civilisations have come and gone, societies have come and gone, kingdoms dictators, religions, empires have all come and gone and will continue go do so.

As Col Francis said in his letter “the tipping point has been reached”. Just put China and Russia into the melting pot of communism and add Islam into it and Western society is under serious threat. Sadly, I believe that we are about see a cataclysmic change in the world as we know it.
