Free Cervical Screening Clinics
Cervical screening for women under the new National Cervical Screening Policy is offered by a female RN and Registered Cervical Screening Provider. This replaces a Pap smear test. Women between the ages of 25 and 74 who have ever been sexually active should be screened when due under the previous screening guidelines (usually in two years); if a normal result is returned, they can be screened once every five years Clinics are held weekly. There is no fee. Copies of results are sent to both you and your GP. This service is supported by funding from the Central Qld, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast Central Qld, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN.
