Cer­vi­cal screen­ing for women un­der the new Na­tional Cer­vi­cal Screen­ing Pol­icy is of­fered by a fe­male RN and Reg­is­tered Cer­vi­cal Screen­ing Provider. This re­places a Pap smear test. Women between the ages of 25 and 74 who have ever been sex­u­ally ac­tive should be screened when due un­der the pre­vi­ous screen­ing guide­lines (usu­ally in two years); if a nor­mal re­sult is re­turned, they can be screened once every five years Clin­ics are held weekly. There is no fee. Copies of re­sults are sent to both you and your GP.
