More arrests in fraud case
ANOTHER four men from Sydney have been embroiled in Australia’s largest alleged white-collar crime, which brought down a senior public official more than a year ago.
The men – aged 37, 48, 55 and 60 – were issued court attendance notices this week by the Australian Federal Police.
Ten people are already before the courts for their alleged involvement in stealing an estimated $130 million from the Australian Taxation Office, after an investigation by Operation Elbrus that kicked off in 2016. The four men are due to face Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on July 31.
