Choose Brushwork for artistic knits

The Knitter - - The Knitter loves -

Blacker has launched a limited-edition yarn to celebrate its 12th birthday. The blend of 70% Scottish Bowmont, 20% British Alpaca and 10% rare-breed Castlemilk Moorit wool is called Brushwork, and it feels very special.

It’s a lofty, bouncy sport-weight which, because it is woollen-spun, will work for both DK and 4ply knitting patterns, and promises decent pill-resistance. The colour palette is gorgeous, with eight shades inspired by watercolour art, and it costs £8.40 per 50g.

To showcase the new yarn, five free patterns are available to download from Blacker’s website, including an Old Shale shawl, a sideways-knit cable jumper, a colourwork cowl, and a semi-fitted cardigan.er 01566 777635
