Row 1 (RS): K3, (P2, K6) 7 ( 7: 8: 8: 9: 10) times, P2, K3. Row 2 (WS): P3, (K2, P6) 7 ( 7: 8: 8: 9: 10) times, K2, P3. These 2 rows set the pat­tern. Note: Work in­creases 2 sts in from each edge. Keep­ing patt cor­rect, inc 1 st at each end of 5th ( 5th: 5th: 5th: 3rd: 3rd) row, then every foll 10th ( 6th: 6th: 4th: 4th: 4th) row 8( 14: 14: 19: 21: 23) times more. 82 ( 94: 102: 112: 124: 136) sts. Work even in patt un­til work meas 38cm, end­ing af­ter a WS row. Cast off in patt. Block pieces gen­tly to mea­sure­ments, fol­low­ing any yarn care in­struc­tions on the ball band. Join shoul­der seams.

With RS fac­ing and us­ing 3.25mm nee­dles, across 17 sts held for right front: K3, (P2, K2) 3 times, P2; pick up and knit 26 ( 28: 30: 33: 35: 37) sts to shoul­der seam, 48 ( 52: 54: 56: 58: 58) sts across back neck, pick up and knit 26 ( 28: 30: 33: 35: 37) sts down left front neck to holder, then across 17 sts held for left front: P2, (K2, P2) 3 times, K3. 134 ( 142: 148: 156: 162: 166) sts. Row 1 (WS): P3, (K2, P2) 3 times, K to last 15 sts, (P2, K2) 3 times, P3. Row 2 (RS): K3, (P2, K2) 3 times, P2, K to last 17 sts, P2, (K2, P2) 3 times, K3. Rep last 2 rows 3 more times. Cast off in pat­tern on WS. Mark cen­tre point of sleeve cast-off. Match this point to shoul­der seam and pin sleeve in place evenly on ei­ther side of seam. Sew sleeve in place. Re­peat for sec­ond sleeve. Sew un­der­arm seams. Sew side seams. Weave in ends.
